Here at Insta-Eat, we take the safety of our Riders, Customers & Restaurant partners very seriously. The recent outbreak of COVID-19 (known as Coronavirus) is quickly sweeping the world, and we wanted to reassure everyone that Insta-Eat are doing everything we can to help minimise the risk of catching & spreading the infection.
All Insta-Riders have there temperature measured and recorded at the start & end of every shift
All Insta-Riders carry Hand Sanitiser and use it after collecting your order, and then again after the order is delivered.
All Insta-Riders use Anti-Bacterial wipes to wipe down the delivery equipment after EVERY delivery.
All Insta-Riders are now required to wear protective masks at all times.
All Insta-Riders complete a daily report to check for any symptoms before staring there shift.
In order to help minimise the chances of the virus spreading, Insta-Eat have made the decision to move to No-Contact Payments. As a result, you will find that Cash on Delivery in unavailable until further notice. We will continue to take Credit/Debit card orders as well as Bank Transfers. We apologise in advance for any issues this may cause.
In order to help minimise the chances of the virus spreading, most of our partner restaurants have now closed and will not be offering take-away/delivery services. This includes McDonalds,
KFC, Burger King, Wagamama, Frankie & Benny's and The Harvester. Some shops now also operate on reduced hours. Please visit 'Our Opening Hours' for more information
Update: Some restaurants including KFC & Subway have started to re-open. During this phased re-opening, menu items will be very limited & the queues are normally 45+ Min. Insta-Eat will monitor the queues through the day & will open for delivery when the queues are down to a more reasonable wait time.
As a knock on effect of the virus spreading, a lot more people are using the Restaurants for Take-Away services. At peak times during the day, this may add a delay to your order. Insta-Eat pride ourselves on having an average delivery time of 43 Min per order, however over the past week, this average delivery time has increased to 67 Min per order. This is due to the driver having to wait longer to collect the order, plus the extra time now involved in sanitising the equipment before each delivery. In light of this, we are making a slight adjustment to our estimated delivery times. Our estimated times will now be 60 - 105 Min instead of 45 - 90 Min.
Our Live Support is currently operating during limited hours due to staff shortages. Support will be available from 12pm - 5pm, Monday-Friday. Outside these hours, please contact '[email protected]' and we will try to reply ASAP (Typically within 1-2 Hours during business hours)
Unfortunately, we are now down to just one Rider in Bridgend. This means all orders will be delivered by the same rider. Until further notice, once you order you will get a SMS with a delivery estimate if your order is expected to take longer than 90 min. In most cases this should be 60-90 minutes, However if the driver gets very busy, the Time may be extended.
We have spoken with our partner restaurants and can confirm that none had any suspected cases at the time of closing. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update this page when more information becomes available. No Insta-Eat Rider has currently been affected directly, however some of our riders have decided to self-isolate due to other medical issues or someone they live with having other medical issues. This will mean very limited drivers will be available until further notice
More information on affected areas can be found on the ITV Wales website
